The Slant Desk
2014, prototype

Inspired by problems I had with less-than-fully-functional furniture, I designed the Slant Desk to be the perfect work space.

The simple, clean design features slanted legs that keep your knees bruise-free while you're seated and a slanted desk top edge that's comfortable on your wrists while you're typing. Shelves above and below the main work surface make it easy to stay tidy. A steel frame and shallow profile minimizes the desk's visual impact in a room, making it work well in a small space.

I worked with Legacy Frameworks to make the design production-ready and to build a prototype. The Slant Desk inspired the furniture I later designed for the Chicago Design Museum store.
